Hoisington pitcher Brad Reif, second baseman Braiden Crites, and utility player Hunter Hanzlick have been listed second team All-Central Kansas League honorees for the 2015 season. Pitcher Jacob Warnken was tabbed as a CKL honorable mention.
Reif finished the season with 2.56 ERA after 29 and two-third innings. Reif allowed 35 runs off of 22 hits but recorded 37 strikeouts while yielding 27 walks.
Crites was the most consistent defensive player for the Cardinals with a fielding percentage of .935 at second base. Offensively, Crites recorded 18 hits with eight RBI. After 18 games he totaled ten runs scored and 56 at-bats. He finished the season with a .321 batting average and an on-base percentage of .406.
Hanzlick was a force on the field and at the plate. He struck out 14 opposing batters in relief. He recorded 58 appearances at the plate and tallied 19 hits with three doubles and a homer. He led the team in RBI with 12 and scored 15 runs in 18 games. Hanzlizk finished the season with a .328 batting average and a .379 on-base percentage.
Warnken wrapped up his junior season with a 3-2 pitching record and an ERA of 3.81. He worked 36 and two-thirds innings allowing 49 hits while striking 33 opposing batters. Warnken allowed 17 walks and 31 runs scored for the season.
Hoisington finished the 2015 slate with a record of 6-13.
