It was a decisive Class 4A District 15 victory for Hoisington, and it came with a bonus.
The Cardinals have staked their claim on the postseason as they are mathematically guaranteed a playoff berth.
At 42 points and 2-0 in district play, Hoisington is in.
Lyons is in second place at 1-1, after losing to Ellsworth 20-13 on Friday night.
Lyons could still be the district champion if it can defeat Hoisington this coming Friday, using a 21-point swing.
However, Sterling is out at 0-2, and Ellsworth is sitting at minus-14 points in the points system.
If it beats Sterling by 21 or more points, it will finish the season at seven points.
If the Cardinals lose by 21 points, it will be at 21 points and will get runner-up.
Central Plains 58, Solomon 0
Central Plains blasted Solomon in another dominant performance.
Quarterback Braedan Crites accounted for five of the eight Oilers touchdowns, throwing three and rushing for two.
Crites completed 6 of 7 passes for 122 yards and touchdowns to Hunter Ingham, who had two, and Layne Bieberle, who had one.
Jacob Warnken rushed for two touchdowns and Ingham rushed for one.
Ellinwood 48, Little River 22
Ellinwood found the end zone three times, but couldn’t keep up with Little River.
Eagles quarterback Tyson Martinez threw for a touchdown and rushed for a touchdown.
He completed 10 of 23 passes for 136 yards and one score to Marc Waite. Martinez threw an interception as well.
Jordan Duvall rushed for 138 yards and one score.
Kiowa County 48,
St. John Hudson 24
St. John struck first, but Kiowa County ran away with the game, leading 42-6 at halftime.
Zeke Blake led the Tigers, scoring four rushing touchdowns and rushing for 80 yards.
As quarterback, he also completed just 1 of 14 passes for 16 yards and threw three interceptions.
South Central 60, Macksville 0
Macksville dropped to 0-8 on the season and failed to reach the end zone in its sixth game of the season.
The Mustangs compete against Kiowa County next week.
Northern Valley 76,
Otis-Bison 26
After one quarter, Otis-Bison only trailed by eight points.
That quickly changed as Northern Valley ran away with things, scoring 56 points in the middle quarters to take the district game.
Brad Lightfoot led the Cougars with 117 rushing yards. He had one rushing touchdown.
Quarterback Kade Urban completed 6 of 16 passes for 76 yards and one TD. He also rushed for 93 yards and two scores.
Hayden Maier was on the receiving end of a 15-yard TD pass.
Stafford 50, Bucklin 0
The wins just keep on coming for Stafford, which locked up a spot in the playoffs with a shutout win against Bucklin, which ended at halftime.
Ethan Johnson rushed for 161 yards and five touchdowns for the Trojans.
Preston Ceniti and Derek McClure each rushed for a touchdown, as well.
Stafford plays Minneola next week. The winner will be the district champion and loser will be district runner-up.
