Coach Schmidt Comments
“We had two boys bring home three gold medals each, Cameron Davis, Jonathan Ball, and Brenner Donovan brought home 4 gold medals. That is outstanding! Our boys relay teams are coming together, and putting up very good times for this point in the season. I loved how our boys team competed at the Hoisington Invitational. Tough to compete well two days in a row. Our Boys Javelin throwers are really starting to throw well. On the girls side Rylie Koester has been nothing short of outstanding. She won gold in all three events at the Hoisington Invitational.
Our senior girls of Rylie Koester, Melissa Stout, and Emily Hammond have not just been great leaders for our team, but have been outstanding on the track as well. They brought home nine medals between them at the Hoisington Invite.
Our hurdlers on both sides are doing very well. All of our boys Jonathan Ball, Christopher Ball, and Rudy Gearhart, along with Kelsi Nuss and Maleigha Schmidt ran times that were season bests and all placed at the Hoisington Meet.
Between the boys and girls teams they scored points in all 18 events at the Hoisington Meet. That shows team strength, and a strong commitment from not just the kids, but the coaching staff to get the most out of our talents. Very excited about this stat.
Overall, I was very pleased with our performance of all our kids at the Hoisington Invitational.”
