Kirmer leads Central Plains over Canton-Galva 66-16

CLAFLIN — Central Plains running back Benn Kirmer rushed for 148 yards and three touchdowns, leading the Oilers to a 66-16 pasting of Canton-Galva on Friday night. The game was stopped after the first half because of the 45-point mercy rule.
Kirmer also scored on a kick return and on a 35-yard screen pass.
Skyler Turner added 84 rushing yards and a touchdown for the Oilers (4-1).

OTIS — Otis-Bison’s defense held St. John’s-Tipton to only 33 yards of total offense in its win. The mercy rule ended the game at halftime.
The Cougars (4-1) totaled 128 rushing yards and were led by Patrick Piper, who rushed for 34 yards and one touchdown.
Quarterback Trevor Keller added 26 rushing yards and two scores.

CUNNINGHAM — Cunningham led 30-16 at halftime, and even though Stafford out scored the Wildcats 20-12, it wasn’t enough.
Ethan Johnson led the Trojans with 99 rushing yards.
Tristin Paulsen added 89 rushing yards for the Trojans (1-4).

FAIRFIELD — Patrick Prescott led St. John with 131 total yards — 64 rushing and67 receiving — against Fairfield.
Tigers quarterback Kinser Crissman completed 5 of 8 passes for 160 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.
Wide receiver Zuriel Reyes led with 99 receiving yards, including a 79-yard touchdown connection from Crissman for St. John (4-1 overall, 2-0 district).
