The Central Plains High School girls’ basketball team faced Arkansas City Christian Academy in the pool play of the Hilltop Hoops Classic hosted by Barton Community College.
The Lady Oilers won 73-8 on Thursday night at Kirkman Activity Center.
Arkansas City has eight players on its roster, and four are seventh graders.
Central Plains, which is ranked No. 3 in Class 2A on the latest Kansas Basketball Coaches Association, spread the ball around with all 12 players on their roster scoring points.
Janae Ryans was the only player in double figures with 13 points.
Taylor Rolfs added eight points.
The Lady Oilers face Ell-Saline tonight at 8 in the championship game.
Central Plains scorches Ness City
The Central Plains Lady Oilers opened the Hilltop Hoops Classic on Tuesday evening, thrashing Ness City 91-51.
Rolfs uncorked a 32-point performance, a career-high for the sophomore. She went 14-for-25 from the field (56 percent).
Reagan Phelan scored 23 points for Central Plains, and grabbed a team-leading nine rebounds.
Janae Ryan made 6 of 8 3-pointers for 18 points.
