Lady Tigers cruise to 58-25 win over Victoria

VICTORIA — The St. John-Hudson High School had four players in double figures in a 58-25 victory over Victoria on Friday night.
Jamie Waters led the Lady Tigers (15-2) with 13 points as they led 33-11 at intermission.
Morgan Osborne and Tara Christie finished with 11 points apiece.
Teresa Christie added 10 points for St. John, which is ranked No. 3 in Class 1A Division-I in the latest Kansas Basketball Coaches Association poll.

MACKSVILLE — Macksville just couldn’t catch up with Fowler, trailing by five at halftime.
The Lady Mustangs (3-12) cut the lead to three points, but didn’t get any closer.
Tara Bunker led Macksville with 18 points.
Melissa Espino added 16 points, including four 3-pointers.

Dean Wade added a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds for St. John, which is ranked No. 1 in 1A D-I.
St. John travels to Wichita to challenge Word of Life on Tuesday night.

With 10 four-quarter points from McClure, the Trojans (4-9) were able to rally for a victory.
Taylor Newel added 12 points, and Ethan Johnson scored 10.

Cody Stetler led the Cardinals (14-3) with 16 points.
Jacob Warnken added 11 points, and Ryan Becker finished with 10.
Ellinwood was led by Kyle Blakeslee, who finished with 12 points.
The Eagles fall to 5-12 on the season.
