Lady Tigers lead All-CPL volleyball selections

The St. John High School volleyball team boasted three unanimous selections on the All-Central Prairie League first team.
Morgan Osborne, a senior outside hitter, Jamie Waters, a senior setter, and Haley Falk, a junior middle blocker, led St. John, which got five selections total.
The Lady Tigers finished runner-up in the Class 1A Division-I state tournament this season, adding to a five-season span that includes three state titles.
Breanna Holmes, a senior hitter/setter from Central Plains, Kim Pechanec, a senior outside hitter of Otis-Bison, and Audra Nowak, a junior hitter/setter from Victoria, round out the All-CPL first-team selections.
St. John’s Teresa Christie and Alexis Witt were second-team selections.
Jennifer Hitschmann and Taylor Rolfs of Central Plains were named second-team.
Macksville had three players on the honorable mention team — Tara Bunker, Bri Evans and Mindy Wood.
