FRIDAY’S GAMES
LARNED 10, GREAT BEND 7 — Larned rallied from a 7-0 deficit for a 10-7 victory over rival Great Bend. Larned scored seven runs in the sixth inning with seven walks, two singles and error and hit batter.
Luke Wilson’s single scored Logan Erway for a 7-7 tie and Trevor Bartz scored on a walk for an 8-7 lead. Carlos Ibarra delivered an RBI single and Jack Stelter, Jacob Grosfield, Kaden Pontius and Gunnar Cline scored on walks, errors or wild pitches in the seven-run inning.
Great bend’s Jayson Effertz, Jace Kohls and Joe Moeder scored on errors for a 3-0 lead. Jace Kohls’ triple scored Jacob Kennedy, Effertz and Brody Feist for a 6-0 lead. Joe Moeder’s double scored Kohls for a 7-0 lead.
Larned’s Aidan Smyth scored on a third-inning walk. Grosfield scored on Smyth’s sacrifice fly and Stelter’s single scored Colin LaBouchardiere in a two-run fourth inning.
FINNEY COUNTY 18, GREAT BEND 7 — Eight walks, three hit batters and four errors were too much to overcome for Great Bend.
Great Bend scored in all five innings. Kohls doubled home Effertz and Joe Moeder scored on Kyle Feist’s sacrifice fly in a two-run first inning. Matthew Moeder scored on a second-inning wild pitch. Sam Hall’s single scored Joe Moeder in the third inning.
Evan Wedel scored on Brody Feist’s groundball in a two-run fourth inning. Will Linenberger scored on an error. Joe Moeder scored on Kyle Feist’s groundout in the fifth inning.
