LARNED — Heavy rain postponed the Class 3A state baseball tournament until Friday.
Seneca-Nemaha Central beat Hoyt-Royal Valley 7-1 in the first game. Wellsville led Council Grove 9-4 in the fifth inning when the game was delayed 4-1/2 hours until it was postponed until 10 a.m. Friday at Tointon Family Stadium.
Larned (18-3) will play Cheney (16-7) after the Wellsville-Council Grove game is completed, followed by Remington versus Galena. The championship game will be played Saturday at 11 a.m., weather permitting.
