Larned golfers finish 2nd

MEDICINE LODGE – Larned’s golfers placed runner-up with a 183 nine-hole score behind Wichita Trinity (174).
Wichita Trinity’s Madison Slayton (39) was medalist. Dorothy Keenan tied for second place with a 43 and earned fourth medalist in a scorecard playoff. Madison Gleason shot 44 and earned fifth medalist. Haley Skelton shot 45 with a 7th place medal. Leann Peterson shot 51 and tied for 12th place.
“I was very pleased with the team scores and out top four girls playing well,” said Larned coach Toni Novotny. “We know that we were scoring good, but we do think there is room for improvement. We lost to a very good Wichita Trinity team. We are going to work on keeping our scores consistent and trying to improve.”
Hoisington’s Madi Wilborn (47) placed eighth and Cardinal Sydney Boxberger finished 10th.
