Larned splits with Halstead

HALSTEAD — Larned’s girls scored 10 runs in the seventh inning for a 18-10 victory over Halstead and a split of Friday’s softball twin bill. Halstead won the opener 11-0 on a no-hitter.
Larned (1-5, 1-5 CKL) trailed 9-8 entering the seventh inning, but Erin Smith drilled a three-run triple and Ally Aldrich hit a two-run single in a 10-run inning. The Indians scored seven runs in the fifth inning.
Mattie Glover drove in four runs and Haley Skelton and Tymarra Bryant also drove in two runs. Aldrich and Bryant each had three hits.

Sky Werner threw a no-hitter and Kirsten Mueller singled, doubled, homered and drove in five runs. Katelyn Boston tripled home a run and had three hits.
