PRATT — Macksville’s girls captured their second consecutive team title by winning the Pratt-Skyline Cross Country meet.
a“There was a lot of great efforts, but Katrina Waters rally stooud out moving up from junior varsity,” said Macksville coach Mike Hullman. “She was the fifth scoring runner and improved her time by three minutes. She has a great work ethic and heart for the team. In fact, this is her first time running since she has been the manager for her first three seasons.”
GIRLS— Senior Emma Stimatze placed third followed by sophomores Lexi Wright (7th); Itzel Garcia (8th); junior Bethany Esparza (12th); senior Katrina Waters (14th); Mikeal Ann Loiland (17th); and Susie Penner (18th).
“ll of these runners also improved on their times while earning the team title,” Hullmam said. “The course was wet, but still had good footing. The runners always talk about the one hill that they have to climb and that makes the course run pretty tough.”
