MINNEAPOLIS 65, VICTORIA 62
HOISINGTON — Mikey Baker drilled a halfcourt shot to send the Minneapolis boys into overtime with Victoria at the Hoisington Winter Jam. Minneapolis rallied for a 65-62 victory.
Brandon Wolfe delivered the go-ahead field goal for a 63-62 lead. Jacob Johns added two insurance free throws for a 65-62 victory in overtime over Victoria. The Knights committed four turnovers in overtime. Baker led the Lions with 18 points and Wolfe added 13 points.
Joe Dortland led the Knights with 24 points, but had two charging fouls in overtime. Victoria’s Brandon Brungardt missed two free throws to seal the victory in regulation. Eric McAlanon added 17 points. The Knights were ahead by 13 points during the third quarter. The Lions play Russell at 4:45 p.m. Friday.
RUSSELL 43, OTIS-BISON 38 — No. 8 seeded Russell upset No. 1 seeded Otis-Bison 43-38 in the Hoisington Winter Jam. Russell led 21-8 at halftime. The Cougars closed within 39-35, but Colton Fritschen and Travis Ochs each converted two free throws to seal the victory.
Russell (2-8) was paced by Reshean Holloway with 13 points and Mason Beagley scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. The Cougars (6-4) outscored the Broncos 30-22 in the second half.
Cougar Brandon Keller converted a trio of 3-pointers in the fourth quarter. Freshman Maitland Wiltse scored 11 points and Kade Urban 10 points to pace the Cougars.

HOISINGTON — Lindsay Shupe scored 24 points and No. 1 seeded Minneapolis rolled past Ellinwood 58-35 in the Hoisington Winter Jam. The Lions outscored the Eagles 21-6 in the second period. Minneapolis plays Russell at 3 p.m. Friday.
Brittney Beck paced the Eagles with 20 points, 10 in the first period.
RUSSELL GIRLS 55, OTIS-BISON 26 — Russell (7-3) outscored Otis-Bison 24-0 to sprint to a 55-26 victory over the Cougars in the Hoisington Winter Jam. The Cougars were tied 9-9, but fell behind 33-9 in the third period.
Kyleigh Kasper had 13 points and 15 rebounds. Megan Boxberger and Delaney Pospichal each scored 13 points. Taylor Regan scored 16 points for the Cougars (3-7). She made six of the Cougars nine field goals.
