NESS CITY — Cole Kinnamon scored 20 points and Dean Wade chipped in 19 points as No. 1 ranked Class 2A St. John (15-0, 5-0 CPL) stayed unbeaten with a 60-36 victory over LaCrosse in a Central Prairie League basketball game.
Kinnamon fed several assists to Wade for his signature slam dunks. St. John travels to Victoria Friday.
The Tigers led 23-5 after one period and 37-14 at halftime. LaCrosse played without standout Sheldon Schmidt, averaging 19 points per game. Jack Garcia led LaCrosse (9-8, 2-4 CPL) with 13 points.

HOISINGTON — Hoisington scored the game’s final seven points triggered by an assist from Corbin Crawford to Ryan Broeder for a 51-43 victry over Hillsboro in a Central Kansas League basketball game. The Trojans sliced a 10-point lead to 44-43 when the Cardinals scored the final seven points.
Hoisington (7-9, 2-5 CKL was paced by Steffan Dolechek with 13 points and Christopher Wright added 10 points. Micah Allen led Hillsboro (9-7, 3-4 CKL) with 20 points. The Cardinals play at Lyons Friday.

Christie gathered up a loose ball after teammate Ashlyn Fisher missed an attempt.
Christie led St. John (10-5, 3-2 CPL) with 18 points. La Crosse’s Alyssa Oborny sank two free throws for a 39-39 tie. Oborny led the Leopards (14-3, 4-2 CPL) with 16 points and Marissa Wagner added 13 points.
