Cougars' Taylor Regan makes first team

CLAFLIN — Central Plains all-staters Emily Ryan (22 ppg) and Janae Ryan (17 ppg) earned unanimous first-team All-Central Prairie League basketball honors. Emily Ryan was named a Top 10 All-Class player while Janae Ryan earned first-team All-Class 2A along with her sister.
Janae Ryan helped the Oilers (26-0) capture four consecutive Class 2A state basketball titles, capped by a 60-48 championship victory over Alma-Wabaunsee. The Oilers finished with a 103-1 record over the past four years under head coach Pat Stiles. Emily Ryan averaged 22 points and five assists Janae Ryan averaged 10 points during the 2A state tournament.
Otis-Bison’s first-team all-stater Taylor Regan (23 ppg) led the Cougars to third place in the Class 1A-Division 2 state basketball tournament. Kinsley’s Scout Frame and St. John’s Tara Nelson were also named on the first team.
