DODGE CITY — Medalist Jordan Black led Great Bend’s bowlers to a 9-2 Western Athletic Conference bowling victory Thursday over Dodge City’s boys with a 669 series on games of 223, 244 and 202. Jacob Holden finished runner-up (654) on games of 204, 235 and 215 at Spare Tyme Bowl.
Great Bend medalist Jordan Vsetecka led the girls to an 11-0 victory with a career-high 623 series on games of 212, 227 and 184. Panthers Allie Brodrick (568), McKenzy Black (547) and Kylynn Keeler (534) swept the next three spots.
The Panthers travel to Garden City Tuesday to meet the Buffaloes and Holcomb.
The Panther junior varsity teams also dominated the day as the boys swept Dodge City 11-0 and the girls beat Dodge City 10-1.
A.J. Roberts captured first place (616) on games of 143, 246 and 227. Brodie Owens (543) placed runner-up.
Sydney Soukup (500) won the girls JV division with games of 142, 169, and 189. Jessica Disque was runner-up (458).
