Panther boys win Andover Bowling Tournament

ANDOVER — The second-seeded Great Bend boys swept three Baker format games to win the Andover Bowling Tournament. Red-hot Jordan Black finished in second place (704) and Bryce Moore placed seventh (640). Others playing were Dalton Murphy, Kameron Keener, A.J. Roberts and Dalton Dicks.
“The Panther boys dominated the day,” said Great Bend coach Mike Perry. “They won every Baker game to claim the title for the second year in a row.”
The Great Bend girls rolled a season high score to finish fifth.
Panther Jordan Vsetescka placed fifth with a season high score (625). Panthers Sarah Mehlhaff, Zujeiry Garcia, Nicole Griffin and Brynn Boxberger all scored season high series.
Great Bend’s Walnut Bowl will be the site of Thursday’s Western Athlertic Conference Tournament. Great Bend’s boys and Garden City’s girls placed first last year. Play starts at 12:30 p.m.
