BUHLER QUAD (4-11) — No. 1 singles Matt Phillips, No. 2 singles Robert Frizell, No. 1 doubles Alex Smith-Ozioma Ofoma and No. 2 doubles Trent Stueder-Omar Talamentes all finished fourth.
“It ended a rough day with 10 matches in three days,” said Great Bend coach Joseph Bliven. “The bioys were exhausted.”
HAYS TOURNAMENT (4-10) — Great Bend placed third in an eight-team field. No. 1 doubles Alex Smith-Ozioma Ofoma placed runner-up with a loss to Scott City. No. 2 doubles Trent Stueder-Omar Talamentes finished runner-up with a loss to Scott City.
No. 2 singles Matt Phillips placed third. No. 1 singles Rigo Miranda placed sixth and retured due to illness.
GREAT BEND TOURNAMENT (4-8) — The Great Bend Black team placed third overall behind No. 2 doubles runner-up Trent Stueder-Omar Talamentes, 6-1. Stueder and Talamentes lost 8-4 to Garden City’s Dan Chacon and Brian Carrera for first place.
Other places were No. 1 singles Rigo Miranda, 5-2, third; No. 2 singles Humberto Alonso, 5-2, third; and No. 1 doubles Alex Smith-Ozioma Ofama, GB Black, fifth, 2-5.
Great Bend Red finished seventh with No. 1 singles Luiz Zamarrippam, 8th; No. 2 singles Israel Franco, sixth; No. 1 doubles Phane Pedigo-Josh Hoisington, fifth; No. 2 doubles Dalton Dicks-Simon Hernandez, sixth.
