Russell sweeps Larned

RUSSELL —Larned High School was swept in a baseball doubleheader against Russell on Friday.
The Broncos won the first gamee, 13-3, and rallied in the second game to win 6-5.
Brayden Smith drove in two runs for Larned, who took an early 3-0 lead before Russell scored eight runs in the bottom of the third inning.
The Broncos scored five more runs to enable the 10-run rule in the fifth.
The Indians led the entire game until the sixth inning in Game 2.
Camryn Bryant drove in two runs, and Palmer, Tyler Stelter and Colton Gladow each had one RBI.
The Broncos trailed until the bottom of the sixth inning when they scored two runs to take a 6-5 lead.
Larned, which is 3-11 overall, travels to Hays on Tuesday to play a doubleheader against Thomas More Prep-Marian starting at 4 p.m.
