Six Great Bend High School football players are expected to sign today to play at the next level.
Standout lineman and Shrine Bowl selection Tyler Uselton, a 6-foot-4, 315-pound two-way starter, committed to Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference and national powerhouse Butler Community College in El Dorado on Tuesday, choosing the Grizzlies over NCAA Division-II Fort Hays State University.
Uselton will be joined in the juco ranks by defensive tackle John Verbeck (Dodge City), projected tight end/defensive end Jacob Graham (Hutchinson) and wide receiver Mauricio Uribe (Hutchinson), when they sign on the dotted line this morning at GBHS.
Wide receiver Blake Rief will sign to play for Bethany College, and outside linebacker Spencer Kiel will sign with Ottawa University — both four-year NAIA colleges.
