TOPEKA -- Perennial basketball powerhouse St. John High School will drop from 2A to 1A in new classifications announced by the Kansas State High School Activities Association. St. John has 91 students at the high school.
Central Prairie League rival Central Plains, the defending 2A girls basketball champion, remained 2A with 94 students.
