EMPORIA — The St. John High School boys’ golf team took sixth place in the team standings, led by a sixth-place finish by Bryce Garner at the Class 1A state golf meet at Emporia Municipal Golf Course.
The Tigers, who finished in third place last year, combined for a score of 351.
Garner finished the meet with an 80 on the par-71 course.
Ashland finished in first place for the second straight year.
St. John finished in first place at the state meet two years ago.
