The St. John Junior High girls captured the Central Prairie League basketball title with a 34-30 win over Victoria. The St. John Junior High girls basketball team edged unbeaten Victoria Middle School 34-30 to capture the Central Prairie League basketball title. McKayla Miller’s assist led to a clinching basket by Kaylynn Claussen.
The Tiger girls are coached by Kate Graber and Mike Manderino.
St. John (13-1) defeated Central Plains in the semifinals and Macksville in the first round.
