BUCKLIN — The No. 5 state-ranked 1A-Div. 2 Pawnee Heights boys roared past Bucklin 70-51 in a non-league basketball game.
Kade Scott scored 32 points to spark the Tigers (7-0, 2-0 SPIAA). Caleb Karst scored 16 points and Dalton Hamby added 11 points.

KINSLEY — Quincy Smith scored 21 points and St. John shot 60 percent to roar past Kinsley 71-18 in Tuesday’s Central Prairie League basketball game. The Tigers featured a 23-0 first-half run and a 27-0 second-half run.
St. John’s Tanner Halling contributed 10 points, eight rebounds and seven blocks. Mason Osborne dished out seven assists and Smith and Chase Fisher each had four assists. The Tigers (5-2, 1-0 CPL) led 37-5 at halftime.

Tara Nelson scored 19 points for the Tigers (4-3, 1-0 CPL). Josena Frame scored 13 points. Kinsley (5-2, 1-1 CPL) was led by Josena Frame with 13 points.
