ST. JOHN — First-team all-stater Cole Kinnamon (16 ppg) joined teammate Chase Fisher (13 ppg) on the first team of the Central Prairie League basketball team.
Kinnamon averaged 13 points and Fisher averaged 19 points while leading the Tigers to a runner-up Class 2A finish with a 59-51 loss to Salina Sacred Heart. The Tigers beat Pittsburg Colgan 51-38 and Lawrence Seabury 52-51 in douible overtime to reach the state finals.
Kinnamon converted a game-winning 35-foot jumper to beat Lawrence Seabury in the 2A semifinals.
Macksville’s Jacob Rein, Brett Liebl of Central Plains and Ness City’s Chandler Stiawalt also earned first-team Central Prairie League honors.
