EMPORIA -- Topeka Seaman avenged last year's Class 5A state tournament loss with a 63-42 victory over Great Bend's girls in the Glacier's Edge Tournament at Emporia.
Great Bend beat Seaman 60-46 in last year's Class 5A state tournament. Great Bend will play Derby in a consolation game Friday.
Regan Unruh paced the Panthers with 13 points, but finished 2 of 12 from the floor. Hannah Mauler added 10 points. Panther Lauren Welsch finished 1 of 10 from the field.
Seaman's Rachel Heald and Tatyana Legette dominated inside. Heald scored 17 points and Legette added 16 points as Seaman led 36-20 at halftime.Seaman finished 28 of 55 from the floor. Great Bend made 13-of-55 field goals, 5 of 26 from 3-point range.
