Ellinwood baseball swept
RUSSELL – The Russell/Victoria baseball team swept past Ellinwood 18-3 and 10-0 in Friday’s baseball doubleheader. Ellinwood (0-12) plays at home Monday against Ellis.
RUSSELL 18, ELLINWOOD 3 (G1) – Ellinwood squeezed out three runs. Gage Hosman scored on Bryan Jaske’s second-inning sacrifice fly. Tyler Stuhlsatz singled home Alek Brack in a two-run third inning. Hosman scored on an error.
Russell’s Andrew Kraus drove home five runs with two hits. Cammeron Farmer drove home three runs. Kaden Rome, Braydon Ford, Braydon Gibson and Briar Urich each drove in one run.
RUSSELL 10, ELLINWOOD 0 (G2) – Ellinwood’s Logan Panning singled to spoil Andrew Roth’s no-hit bid.
Russell’s Charlie Krug and Thaddeus Wohler each drove home two runs. Carson Werth and Aiden Rohr drove home one run.
