“We had a nice pack from runners two through five, but we have too big of a gap to our top runner,” said St. John coach Joel Delp. “ Our first two miles were decent, but we are going to have to be tougher the last mile.  We will get back to work this week and hopefully bring our times down.”

Jackie Rios earned a 15th place medal (26:23) and Jaden Reed earned a 19th place (28:00).

“The girls ran a smart race and it was great to see them get into the top 20.  They are getting stronger but they need to continue working on their last mile.” said coach Delp

Dalton Nemec took first place (20:21) in the JV boys race.  Other JV boys who medaled were Nick Huston 11th (25:15) and Sead Pepic 14th (25:54). Ethan Huston was 16th (26:02) and Edson Garcia 21st (31:14).  Jordon Willinger competed in her first cross country race for the JV girls.  She earned a 10th place (34:14).
