HESSTON — Hesston's softball team rolled past Larned 14-0 Friday keyed by a 11-run inning.

The second game was suspended because of rain with Larned ahead 3-2 in the third inning.

Hesston (8-3, 6-1 CKL) dropped the Indians to 2-5, 0-3 CKL.

HESSTON 14, LARNED 0 (G1) — Larned managed five hits off Hesston pitcher Griffin (7-2, 1.54 ERA). Eowyn Hedding, Kendra Marvin, Brooke Simmons, Jadyn Crosby, Gillian Smith singled.

Crosby walked six batters and four Indian errors led to six unearned runs.

Hesston's Wendy Roth (.346) and Karmen Carson (.314) each drove in three runs. Elyse Griffin (.447) and Briley Yoder each delivered two RBI.

LARNED 3, HESSTON 2 (suspended) — Larned showed a spark with Marvin, Crosby and Jozlyn Mead driving home runs.

Hesston's Brenlyn Richmond (.405) and Carson added RBI.
