LARNED – Smoky Valley’s Madi Tolle ripped four homers as the 9-3 Vikings overpowered Larned 16-1 and 17-0 to sweep past the Indians in Friday’s Central Kansas League softball doubleheader.

VIKINGS 16, INDIANS 1 (G1) – Tolle homered twice and drove home five runs. Catherine Odell drove in three runs with a double and triple. Abby Hipp drove home two runs with two hits.

Arianna Melton delivered two hits for Larned (0-8). Emma Thompson singled home Annie Cox for the Indians’ run. Paisley Lovesee, Camryn Ettleman and Hannah Norris also had base hits.

VIKINGS 17, INDIANS 0 (G2) – Tolle scored four runs, had three hits and three RBIs. Abby Hipp and Maggie Ryals combined on a 2-hit shutout. Hipp worked into the fifth before Ryals wrapped it up. Tolle hit 2 more homers and drove in 3, while Addie Heitschmidt drove home four runs and Maliyah Koster drove home three runs. Odell and Claire Broxterman each drove home two runs.
