As soon as the news of the tornado in Moore, Okla., began to break, the folks at J.S. Ventures Inc., an Applebee’s franchise operating out of Wichita, began to develop a plan to help.  The Great Bend restaurant at 3209 10th St. is participating in a fundraiser.
Now through Sunday, June 30, each of the 25 Applebee’s restaurants in the franchise is offering a special menu that is also a fundraiser. There are five menu items to choose from, with a portion of those menu prices going to the tornado victims in Moore. The price of the menu item and the donation amounts are listed on the special menu.
J.S. Ventures has committed a minimum donation of $5,000. Funds will be sent to Oklahoma through the Salvation Army of Wichita.
