C & V Home Improvement was selected as one of 11 employers from across the state of Kansas to receive the Above and Beyond Award. The award was presented by the United States Department of Defense’s Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve program which recognizes employers “for outstanding service and continued support to the national defense”.
Nominated by employees Jack Willenberg, Air National Guard Master Sergeant (Ret.) and Brian Dewberry (Army National Guard Specialist E-4), C & V President, Matt Hoisington said, “I have always supported the efforts of our military and extend veterans’ priority when hiring.” Earlier this year, C & V received the ESGR’s Patriotic Employer award for “contributing to the national security and protecting liberty and freedom by supporting employee participation in the American National Guard and Reserve Force.”
“Thirty per cent of our employees are either active military or veterans. One of our employees spent last year on deployment and another is currently deployed. Veterans bring a much needed skill set to our company and we are proud to support them and their families.”
