Aaron and Ashley Raney, owners of Iron Therapy, welcomed Great Bend Chamber of Commerce members to this week’s Chamber Coffee. Aaron explained how they are in the business of helping busy working professionals get their lives and health back by guiding them to complete body transformations. Iron Therapy is located at 2319 Washington St.
Both of the Raneys, along with fitness instructor Jazmin Castellanos, are National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainers. Aaron Raney is also an NASM Certified Nutrition Coach.
“I’m a health and fitness expert, right here in Great Bend,” he said. “We’re here to elevate the standard of health in the community.”
Services offered include one-on-one body transformation programs as well as semi-private programs for two or three people. Online training is available for people who know their way around a gym but need some structure and accountability to see the results they want.
Iron Therapy now offers private 24-hour access.
There is also a supplement shop in the business that is open to the public. People can shop online and pick up their supplements at the business.
Real clients were at the coffee to vouch for their real results. Nick Bertram, 71, lost 34.4 pounds, got off of blood pressure medication and is back to running 5K and 10K races with no knee pain. He said the discipline he has developed is as much a benefit as the fact that he feels better thanks to the exercise and nutrition program.
Raney said “Charles” lost over 50 pounds, and “Jane” is no longer pre-diabetic after losing 63.7 pounds.
Something different
Old-school programs for weight loss tend to offer one-size-fits-all solutions, Raney said. Intense workouts can lead to injury, group classes may be fun but ineffective, and short six-to-eight-week challenges don’t lead to lasting results.
“Times have changed,” Raney said. “What we’re bringing here is the new style of training. This comes with structure.”
People need training for habit, nutrition and mindset, he said.
“We created the MAC method. It’s Mindset, Accountability, and Complete structured programs. We have all three of these together, and that’s where people are finding their success.”
