Maribeth Shafer from the Central Kansas Library System in Great Bend was selected to attend the prestigious Mountain Plains Library Association’s Leadership Institute. The week-long Institute was held at Estes Park, Colo., in April and Shafer was one of 30 participants selected to participate.
Shafer, who lives in Plevna, works for the CKLS as a consultant and works closely with 54 libraries providing technical training and support for all aspects of automation and technology. Gail Santy from Outreach Services at the CKLS said Shafer is highly thought of in the library community for her technical knowledge, efficiency, patience in teaching and professionalism.
