The first Nex-Tech Wine in the Wild was held Sept. 26, at the Great Bend-Brit Spaugh Zoo. Wine in the Wild, a fundraiser for the zoo, was hosted by Nex-Tech and participating sponsors and was a fundraiser for the Great Bend Zoological Society. From 6-9 p.m., adults enjoyed an evening stroll through the zoo, sampling a variety of wines from Rosewood Winery and food from around the world, all while enjoying music from Little Big Band and the company of the zoo’s wild animal residents. Guests also had the opportunity to bid on silent auction prizes, donated by local business and community members.
Wine in the Wild raised $7,247.60 from the sale of tickets and funds raised during the silent auction. Proceeds were donated to the Great Bend Zoological Society.
“Nex-Tech believes the Great Bend-Brit Spaugh Zoo is one of our region’s greatest assets and designed Wine in the Wild as a way to raise greater donations for the zoo and to gain zoo supporters,” said Dustin Schlaefli, director of customer engagement at Nex-Tech.
