Amanda Gaddis with the City of Great Bend Convention and Visitors Bureau earned her Kansas Destination Specialist Award at this year’s Kansas Tourism Conference last week in Olathe, CVB Director Christina Hayes said. “Her involvement and dedication have helped the CVB continue to promote our wonderful community as well as help visitors experience the best of Great Bend. Congratulations, Amanda, we are so very proud of you.” In addition, the CVB staff was awarded first place in Medium Budget in the EVENT Category for The Wall That Heals marketing campaign that Hayes, Gaddis and Angie Hicks created. “The staff worked very hard this past year to successfully market not only our community but also the events and attractions. It’s nice to be recognized so highly for their efforts. Congrats to not only these two but to everyone that made this wonderful event happen for our community. We are so proud to be given this prestigious award.”
