KHOK afternoon air personality Phil Grossardt has been added to the sales team at Eagle Communications, Great Bend, according to Market Manager Randy Goering. In addition to hosting afternoons Monday through Saturday on 100.7 FM, Grossardt will handle sales accounts, voice commercials and perform other programming duties.
“We’re really excited to add Phil to Sales Team” Goering said. “His understanding of the community and dedication to serve the customers makes him a great match for us and for our advertising clients.”
Grossardt has been in various positions with Eagle Communications and Hull Broadcasting since 1999, and in 2001 became the first station manager of KBGL-FM when its format was Oldies.
Grossardt began his broadcasting career at Barton County Community College in 1973, which lead to part-time employment at KCKT-TV, now KSNC. He joined KSAL Radio after graduating from Kansas State University in 1977 and was program director and morning show host of KHOK-FM in Hoisington from 1979 through 1980.
In addition to his work with Eagle, Grossardt also voices commercials for numerous broadcast outlets and advertising agencies and is a staff announcer for Sunflower Broadcasting and its TV stations in Wichita, Hays and Dodge City.
