HAYS – HaysMed will present a Wound Symposium on Friday, June 27 in its Hadley Conference Rooms. The presentations will run from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. with registration beginning at 8:30 am.
Topics to be covered include critical limb ischemia, compression therapy for venous leg ulcers, hyperbaric medicine, advanced care wound modalities for chronic wounds and Stair Case Change process.
Speakers for the symposium are Karl R. Stark, MD, Kansas City Vascular, PC; Kirk Potter, DO, HaysMed Graystone Cosmetic; Teresa Switzer, RN, Diligent Clinical Consultant; Cherie Birkey, RN, HaysMed Wound Care Center and Alaina Dresslar, PA, Hays-Med Southwind Surgical.
The program is designed for Physicians, PAs, RNs, LPS, ARNPs, Social Workers, PTs, OTs and other interested health-care professionals.
Six hours of continuing education credit are available for CME and six hours for CNE. Paperwork will be provided to submit to KOTA and KPTA for credit. The Hays Medical Center Respiratory Care Continuing Education Evaluator, on behalf of the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts, has approved this program for six CRCE Hours. An application has been submitted to ASRT. Approval is pending.
The fee for the program is $60. The fee for CAHs, HaysMed and Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Associates is $30.
