Matt Hiss of Hiss Sherman Wealth Management announced he will donate half of his commissions to charity during the “Take Care of Your Loved Ones and Community” insurance drive. Hiss said he hopes the drive will become an annual event that supports local charities, while helping individuals take care of their family’s financial future.
“I wanted to create this insurance drive to give back to the community charities,” Hiss said. “I think it is important to support our local nonprofit organizations, and with family and friends surrounding us during the holiday season it is a good time to count our blessings and take care our loved ones.” Hiss will forgo half of his insurance commission for each individual participant and instead give it to the charity of his or her choice.
The drive began Nov. 1 and “will hopefully never end,” Hiss said. “At the end of each year we hope to cap off the year with a charity coffee to announce what was donated the previous year.
“Being a locally owned business, I want to see the continued prosperity of other Great Bend businesses,” Hiss continued.  “Since we are independent we can use any insurance company and that allows us to compare different carriers to find the best plan for your individual needs.”
