The Great Bend Chamber of Commerce’s newest Unsung Hero is Linn Hogg. Nominated by her peers and recognized by the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce’s Unsung Hero campaign, Linn is making a monumental impact on our community through her selfless service.
As the director of Volunteers in Action of Central Kansas, Linn dedicates herself to matching volunteers of all ages with agencies and individuals in need.
Her work is crucial, bridging the gap between limited resources and those who require assistance.
Linn’s efforts extend to vital services like Meals on Wheels, medical transportation rides, Red Cross blood drives, food box distributions for low-income seniors, and numerous other projects that keep our non-profit organizations running smoothly. The thousands of volunteer hours she coordinates save thousands of dollars, enabling these groups to serve those in need.
But Linn goes beyond her role as a director. She actively volunteers herself, serving on the boards of various local organizations. She truly practices what she preaches, embodying the spirit of community service.
What sets Linn apart is her dedication to our community at a broader level.
She collaborates with state and national entities to ensure that communities like ours receive the attention and services they need.
