The Ellinwood District Hospital Auxiliary is hosting their annual fall luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 .pm. on Oct. 27, at St. Joseph Parish Center. The cost is $8 per plate, and carry-out service is available. Opportunities to win great prizes donated from generous individuals and businesses from around the community will be available at the luncheon.
Each year, the Auxiliary hosts the community luncheon in the fall, complete with roast turkey, dressing, potatoes, vegetables, salads, bread, and desserts. The Mu Kappa Sorority provides the desserts.
“We really want the community to join us,” explains Joy Schlochtermeier, Auxiliary president. “This is a chance for Ellinwood and the surrounding area to learn about the Auxiliary and its mission.” The Auxiliary supports Ellinwood Hospital and Clinic by providing monetary support for equipment upgrades and provides scholarships to local students.
The Community Blood Drive is also scheduled immediately following the luncheon, from 2 to 7 p.m., and the Auxiliary invites the public to participate in both events.
