Just Dance Performance Company under the direction of Kelley Scott successfully competed at DANCEAMERICA Competition on March 4 and 5 in Kansas City, Mo.
The Senior Group competed in two categories, placing second in the duo/trio ballet division with “Tango de Trois” and also placing second in the duo/trio lyrical division with their dance “When I’m Alone.” The Junior Group competed, for the first time, in the small group category and placed fourth with their dance “Physical.” All of the dances successfully made National Finals which is to be held in Chicago, Ill. in July.
The Senior Group members consist of Cassie Niedens, daughter of Mike and Debbie Niedens; Hunter Middleton, daughter of Brett and Shari Middleton; and Olivia Blackwell, daughter of Mark and Patti Blackwell. The Junior Group members consist of Conor Bird, daughter Steve Bird and Kelley Scott; Kyler Merten, son of Mike and Pam Merten; Sydney McAfee, daughter of Gordon and Elizabeth McMee; and Kendal Sell, daughter of Roger and Kim Sell.
Just Dance Studio’s annual recital, where the public may view the dances mentioned as well as a variety of other styles, is at 7 p.m. Saturday, at the Barton County Community College’s Fine Arts Auditorium.
