Keener named chief nursing officer at GBRH

Great Bend Regional Hospital’s board of managers has appointed Mary Ann Keener, RN, BSN, as chief nursing officer.
Chief Executive Officer Kerry Noble noted that during the past three months as the interim chief nursing officer, Keener has demonstrated strong leadership and organizational skills as well as the exceptional clinical capabilities/attributes essential for this senior leadership responsibility. Previously, Keener has served in various capacities at Great Bend Regional Hospital to include ICU, ER and perioperative staff nursing roles and, most recently, as the risk manager and ER/ICU supervisor.
Prior to joining Great Bend Regional Hospital in 2008, Keener attained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2005 from Wichita State University. Previously, she was employed as the medical/surgical telemetry supervisor at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
