The Kansas Association of Broadcasters recently announced the 2013 KAB Television & Radio Award Winners. KSNC TV in Great Bend was awarded “Non-Metro Television Station of the Year”. Along with Station of the Year, KSNC also won awards for News, Commercial Production and Promotions. These awards included 1st Place in the “Single Topic Event News Coverage” Category (Mikayla Lewis), 1st Place in the “In-Depth News Reporting”  Category(Mikayla Lewis), 1st Place and Honorable Mention in the “Commercial” category (Terry Weathers and Mike Hesher), 2nd Place in the “Commercial Series” Category (Terry Weathers and Mike Hesher), 2nd Place and Honorable Mention in the “Station Promotion Announcement” Category (Terry Weathers and Mike Hesher). KSNC TV competed against similar size stations from across the state. KSNC is a bureau of KSNW TV in Wichita, owned and operated by Linn Media, a local multimedia company that operates or services 43 television stations and seven digital channels in 23 U.S. markets, and a diverse portfolio of web sites, apps and mobile products.
