Heather Nicholas, district manager for Kwik Shop, announced Sunday that Kwik Shop’s April fundraiser raised a grand total of $95,500 for Camp Hope, a summer camp for Kansas area children who have or have had cancer.
Kwik Shop customers made donations or “rounded up” their purchases to donate to Camp Hope. This is the fifth year for Kwik Shop to raise major funding for Camp Hope. Last year they raised $46,000 and in 2014 they raised $48,500.
Kwik Shops from the following areas participated in the very successful fundraiser: Hutchinson, Salina, Topeka, Lawrence, Wichita, Pratt, Garden City, Dodge City, Great Bend, Larned, Emporia and Hays. Top collecting stores were in Salina, Topeka and Hutchinson.
“Our staff and customers really get behind the fundraiser to make this significant donation possible!” Nicholas said.
