The Ellinwood Eagles boys tennis team captured first place with 52 points to edge runner-up Hoisington (46) at Saturday's Great Bend Tennis Invitational for a third consecutive Great Bend title.
No. 1 doubles Ty Hammeke/Ethan Schlochtermier (3-0) defeated Great Bend's Jacob Parks/Aiden Stacey 8-2 for first place.
No. 2 doubles Phillip Penner/Christopher Rugan (3-0) downed Great Bend's Aaron Ramirez/Kia Britt 8-6 for first place.
Garden City's No. 1 singles Zane Storer defeated Hoisington's Jasper Pawlowski 8-4 for first place. Ellinwood's Dominic Martinez finished third with an 8-0 win over Scott City's Emilio Alarcon.
Hoisington's No. 2 singles Gabriel Pawlowski outlasted Garden City's Kevin Nguyen 8-7 (11-9) for first place. Ellinwood's Grey Ringwald downed Liberal's Diego Flores 8-2 for third place.
