It was just about a year ago that Kyle Beckwith finished his term on the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Board of Trustees.
However, his desire “to continue to play a role in enhancing quality healthcare in Pawnee County” led him back to a seat on the board.
Beckwith was one of the board’s founding members.
During his earlier nine-year tenure, Beckwith said he is “especially proud of securing state-of-the-art MRI and CT technology. Most smaller hospitals do not provide this top-of-the-line equipment. We are very fortunate here.
“My colleagues on the board helped establish a high standard for quality healthcare for patients and families,” he continued. “They are very focused on providing existing and new services to residents of Pawnee and surrounding counties.”
In his current role as trustee, Beckwith encourages the board to help the hospital “find innovative ways to recruit additional quality healthcare providers.”
Foundation supporters are the backbone of the trustee board, he added. “Their donations are vital and we greatly appreciate the support of this great community. They demonstrate what this hospital and quality healthcare mean to all of us.”
Foundation Director Julie Bugner Smith said “we are pleased and fortunate to have Kyle return to the board. He brings a world of knowledge and commitment to the position. His input will be invaluable as we continue to support the hospital, patients and families.”
Beckwith’s colleagues on the board are: President Laura Smith; Vice President Meribeth Busenbark; Treasurer Janis Yeager; Secretary Jim Delaney; Jon Skelton; Vicki Spina; Melanie Urban; and Lewis Young, Emeritus.
