WICHITA — Lane Enterprises is in the process of acquiring four McDonald’s in South Central Kansas. These McDonald’s are located in Great Bend, Kingman, Pratt and Anthony. The sale is scheduled to be complete on Oct. 15. All employees and general Mmanagers at each restaurant will retain their positions within the company, and renovations will also be announced soon.
“We are thrilled to add these restaurants to our repertoire,” owner/operator Michael Lane said. “Acquiring these was a natural decision for us because we are always looking for ways to continue growing our team as well as the McDonald’s brand in Kansas.”
Lane Enterprises owns and operates several McDonald’s franchises, and has continued to grow the company year after year. These restaurants will be divided among Robert Lane, his son Michael Lane and his nephew Joe Lane. Michael will be the owner/operator in Anthony; Joe will own the Pratt and Kingman locations; and Bob Lane will own the one in Great Bend.
“We are truly grateful for this opportunity and are excited to get to know the employees and the residents of these wonderful communities,” owner/operator Robert Lane said. “We value each of our restaurants and the neighborhoods they reside in, and we can’t wait to meet our new friends and neighbors.”
Established in 1975, Bob Lane earned his first McDonald’s franchise in Arkansas City, becoming the youngest franchisee in the McDonald’s system at the age of 27. Soon to grow from 27 to 31 restaurants, Lane Enterprises (www.lanemcdonalds.com) is comprised of four owner/operators, Bob, his wife Jen, his son Michael and nephew Joe.
