MD’s Kitchen has broad selection of Mexican favorites

Local entrepreneur Martha Delgadillo is adding new flavor and variety to Great Bend’s dining scene through MD’s Kitchen, a Mexican restaurant serving an extensive selection of traditional favorites, house specialties, seafood and family-style options at 3106 10th St.

MD’s Kitchen offers a menu designed to accommodate everything from a quick weekday meal to dinner with family and friends. Guests can choose from Mexican street tacos, burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, gorditas, tamales and fajitas, as well as house specialties such as the Molcajete MD’s, chilaquiles, pollo bandido and carne asada.

The restaurant also features a variety of seafood dishes, including shrimp cocktail, ceviche, aguachiles, shrimp soup and grilled or fried tilapia. Desserts, children’s meals and beverages are available, along with family-sized offerings such as 20-taco al pastor packages. Weekend selections include menudo and barbacoa by the pound.

By opening and growing a locally owned restaurant, Delgadillo is creating another place for residents and visitors to gather while expanding the range of dining experiences available in Great Bend. Independent restaurants such as MD’s Kitchen contribute to the character of the community, support local entrepreneurship and help keep consumer spending circulating within the area.

That investment reflects the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce’s Elevate GBK Beyond Today strategic plan, particularly its emphasis on business retention, entrepreneurship and community marketing. Each new local venture strengthens Great Bend’s appeal as a place where people can build businesses, enjoy diverse experiences and connect with one another.

The Great Bend Chamber recently joined Delgadillo, the MD’s Kitchen team, family members and community supporters for a ribbon cutting celebrating the restaurant and welcoming it into the Chamber community. The gathering recognized the work involved in establishing the business and the contribution MD’s Kitchen is making to Great Bend’s local restaurant landscape.
