Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility employee receives 40-year pin

The Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility announces Mary Ann Haynes, Human Resources Professional, received a 40-year service pin from Governor Laura Kelly during a service award ceremony on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the Kansas State House.

“I owe each and every one of you my sincere thanks for your long-term commitment to the people of Kansas,” Governor Kelly told award recipients. “You are true public servants. We are fortunate to have such dedicated people on our team.”

Haynes began her career with the State of Kansas in April of 1978 with Kansas Fish and Game. In September of 1980 she took a position at the Larned State Hospital. She then transferred to the Larned Juvenile Correctional Facility in February 2014. Haynes joined LCMHF in June of 2017.

Warden Don Langford stated, “Mary Ann is a credit to the facility, the Kansas Department of Corrections, and the State of Kansas. We are fortunate to have her.”
